Development Facilitators, Inc. (DFI) provided inspection services for the Alpha Ridge Landfill's compost facility expansion project, located in Howard County, Maryland. DFI provided construction supervision and engineering, as well as resident construction inspection during the construction of the second phase of the composting facility project. 

The project included full-time resident construction inspection for 10 additional concrete bunks with new moisture and odor control systems, as well as enhanced water systems, related roads and processing pads, among other upgrades to the facility. In addition, the expansion doubled capacity and is designed to compost materials such as yard trimmings, food scraps and manure. Those involved in the Feed the Green Bin program are providing compostable material.
