Development Facilitators, Inc. (DFI) designed and secured site development plan approval for Kaiser Permanente, a multi-story medical office building, located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The 2.34-acre site was designed with an emphasis on Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. The LEED credits include white paving, electric vehicle charging stations, as well as environmental site design (ESD) stormwater management requirements.
DFI secured site development plan approval, grading permit approval and state highway access permit approval for the project. Project plans include a building permit site plan, a utility plan, forest conservation plans, as well as state highway administration roadway frontage improvements. More project plans included storm drain plans, stormwater management and grading and sediment control.
The site design includes an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant parking lot, roadway and state highway accesses and an analysis of several different environmental-related accessories. Site plans for the project included on-site landscape plans in accordance with the county's landscape requirements and site lighting. Stormwater management utilized non-structural and structural practices, such as bio-retention ponds and bioswales.
