Development Facilitators, Inc. (DFI) provided construction management and inspection (CM&I) services during the an animal control building project in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. DFI's significant contribution to the project was the coordination of completing work within the occupied and operational facility. while working with the contractor to maintain conditioning and public access.
The project included the demolition and removal of two rooftop air handling units and associated duct mounted direction expansion coils and electric duct heaters serving kennels and related spaces. Project improvements included the installation of two new custom packaged dehumidifier air handling units (PDHU) at grade. The installation required extended supply and return, as well as exhaust duct work from existing RAHU duct connections to new PDHUs over the rooftop. Other work on the building included new recirculation fans in kennel areas to eliminate liquids on the floor.
