The Randazzo Athletic Fields project included repurposing the previous softball field and surrounding area into a new multi-purpose field with concession stand renovations, reconfigured parking area and improvements to an existing field.
DFI provided Construction Management and Inspection (CM&I) services for this field project, located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. In addition to the repurposing and improvements to the fields, site improvements were also made to the fields.
Field One (1) site improvements included the removal of existing backstop fencing and temporary bleachers, minor site grading along the interior side line and restriping of the field. Additional site work included the removal of existing fencing, lighting, bleachers and re-gradings of the existing softball field to accommodate the new multi-purpose field, also known as field two (2). The design and construction of the field two (2) included new fencing, lighting, bleachers, realigned paved parking areas with the new site layout, which included 200 parking spaces, reconnection to existing adjacent trails, storm drainage, Storm Water Management (SWM), irrigation, landscaping, signage and other miscellaneous park features.
DFI incorporated Procore, a cloud-based real-time document control program, to provide transparency and up-to-date information.
