This week we experienced an unthinkable disaster and yetanother tragic event for our industry. The collapse of the Francis Scott KeyBridge left us dumbfounded and traumatized aswe watched the coverage and learned of lost lives. Creating even more turmoilis just a few days prior we were all reminded that just a year ago anotherhorrific tragedy occurred taking the lives of fellow industry workers along695.
Please always consider your own safety and be aware of theenvironment you work in. Keep your head on a swivel and watch out for thethings we can safeguard against. Do not become complacent when it comes toprotecting yourself and those around you. We care deeply about yoursafety and certainly want everyone to return home to their loved onesdaily. A sad fact is our industry has one of the highest rates forsubstance abuse and suicide. Traumatic occurrences like these can cause theonset of many questions that can lead to uncertainty, worrying, depression,family troubles, and abuse.
